Estimated glomerular filtration rate formula

Usage

egfr(scr, age, sex, race)

egfr_norace(scr, age, sex)

Arguments

scr

Numeric. Serum creatinine \(\mu\) mol/L

age

Numeric. Year.

sex

Character. Either "male" or "female".

race

Character. Either "other","white", "black", "hispano-american", "asian", "unknown". Specifying race = "black" change the formula of eGFR.

Value

A numeric

Details

See references for the formula. egfr() uses the formula from Levey et al. (2009), and egfr_norace() uses the formula from Inker et al. (2021).
